Hello, Old Friends – I’m Back!

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted here, and I’ve missed you.

Life, as it often does, swept me away—but for good reason. Over the past many months, nearly all my time, energy, and mental space have been poured into something very close to my heart: my new book. And I’m thrilled (and a little nervous!) to finally say… it’s done.

Searching for Home: The European Journey of a Frazzled Mom will be released on October 1st, and I can hardly believe it’s real.

So, what’s it about?

In short: What happens when a busy mom of five dares to chase a lifelong dream?

I’ve always wondered if a slower, more intentional life was possible—one filled with warm croissants, long lunches, breathtaking landscapes, and the kind of simplicity that seems baked into European culture. So, I did something bold: I packed up our chaos-filled American life and took part of my crew to Europe in search of that elusive “home” feeling.

Through France, Italy, and Austria, we traveled—dodging panic attacks, navigating tiny roads, braving ice caves, and questioning our sanity more than once. Along the way, we wandered the cafés of Paris, explored majestic French châteaux, got lost in Medieval villages, soaked up the sun in Provence, delighted in the rolling hills of Tuscany, stood in awe before Roman ruins, drifted through the canals of Venice, and climbed into the heart of the Alps.

But this book isn’t just about places. It’s about the journey to slow down, to savor life, and to ask big questions about belonging, joy, and what it means to live fully. It’s a deeply personal memoir, filled with real-life messiness, honest reflection, laughter, and a few unexpected lessons—like what to do during a vampire scare or how to keep Italians out of a crowded elevator.
